Abigail Kemp

I'm a Chinese American adoptee and emerging filmmaker driven by a deep love for storytelling. My passion for film stems from my identity and lived experience, and I continue to draw inspiration from the artists and visionaries who have shaped my journey. In 2023, I directed and produced Year of the Rabbit, a feature-length documentary chronicling my first return to my birth city since my adoption. The film is currently submitted to the 2025–26 festival circuit.

As a multidisciplinary filmmaker, I work across a range of roles - from documentary producer to office production assistant. Whether I'm leading a creative vision or supporting a crew as a PA, I bring a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to every project. My goal is to tell meaningful stories while continuing to grow in all aspects of film production.
